Life and Akathist of Great Martyr St. Panteleimon

 

Great Martyr Panteleimon lived during the reign of Maximian Galerius, original from the city of Nicomedia. At birth was named Pandoleon. His mother was Christian, but dying, remained with his father who was not a Christian, but an idolater. He went to school time learning philosophy then was apprenticed to a doctor, Eufrosin, who learned the art of healing the disease. Is baptized by Pastor Ermolae receiving from God the gift of miracles. He was martyred for being a Christian and miracle worker.
